Long over-due update

Okay, so I did an aweful job posting on here regularly. Life is busy!

Aaron is still with GE and while he does complain about it sometimes, our home has been richly blessed. Aaron is always amazed when he receives a bonus of some sort just for doing his job. He forgets that there are people out there who don't have the same work ethic and that the people he helps appreciate him.

I am starting my last semester at Lincoln Christian Seminary. I am excited to finish up with school so that I can start the next phase in the process. There is a big test that I have to take so that I can get my LPC (licensed professional counselor). Then I need to log in a lot of counseling hours (roughly 2 years of full-time work) so that I can take another test. After passing that test I will have my LCPC (licensed clinical professional counselor). Then I can sigh and pray there are no new regulations, requirements, or just plan torture items the State wants me to accomplish before allowing me to practice on my own. I know it sounds like a lot, but God has been good to our family and brought us this far!

Cody is playing in a basketball program at our church, Upwards. He is really enjoying it. I think he is glad that he is on the same team as Blake again with Blake's dad, Nathan, being the coach again. He is so great with the kids! He is teaching them about basketball and Jesus and he does it all with grace and love. What more could a parent ask for in a coach? Cody is also taking piano lessons during school hours from Jane Barth. He is loving the lessons. It is fun to hear him talk about what he is learning! He is also working with Mrs. Branch in the learning lab to help him improve the way that he learns. He has been struggling ever since kindergarten and we thought it was time to get him some extra help. There have been days where he has come home saying "I finished my math paper today" (which means he doesn't have to bring it home and finish it there). I tell him that is great and let him know I am excited for him!

Camdon has been going to Taekwondo for almost three months now. I spent the first week watching him, then I decided to join too! It is hard work, but it is also fun! Camdon likes it that I am in the class with him. We both earned our yellow belts in December and, hopefully, will be trying for our orange belts in February. Camdon isn't involved in anything else right now because Taekwondo takes up a lot of time. It was fun watching him spar last week! I took my camera and took over 400 pictures! Not all of them came out great, but I couldn't part with very many because it was so much fun. I really wanted to get up and start sparring too! Camdon did pretty good at sparring. He punches/pushes too much sometimes. He needs to work on bringing his kicks up. He still can't get his leg much higher than his waist. He does a good job at keeping up with everything which is great!

Well, I've had enough of this for right now. Who knows when I'll write another post. Unil then...
