I'm on a role!

Greetings on day 2 of the Awe Heck blog! I doubt very many people are reading it yet since I haven't told anyone. Well, I did post it on my Facebook page and I just told my Uncle, other than that, no one. I think I would like to see how good I do at keeping it updated. I would hate to tell everyone I know and then let a year go by before I update it again! Right now one of our new cats is laying on my desk as I type. She keeps getting up and bumping her nose against my chin. That is her sutle way of telling me that she wants attention!

I spent a busy day running around. I first had to get my choleesterol checked. Needless to say, it isn't very good. So I have to start taking Lipitor, watch what I eat (they recommended that I read the South Beach diet book since it was written by a cardiologist), and I need to get more exercise, I mean exercise minus the more. Then I did picked up Camdon's soccer stuff from a sporting store. He needed shin guards, one blue shirt & pair of socks, one yellow shirt & pair of socks, and one pair of soccer shorts. Then after the boys got out of school, we went and bought a pair of soccer cleats. The day was filled with a lot of errand running, too. I also ate lunch with my Mom, who did most of the shopping with me. I love hanging out with my mom. I sure hope my kids want to hang out with me when we all get older!

Cody did push-ups and sit-ups in school today. On the way to school we went over their Bible verses and Cody totally rocked his. I am so proud of him! In Spanish, Cody reviewed colors and greetings.

Camdon climbed to the top of a climbing wall at his school's playground today. He is very excited because this is the first time that he has made it to the top. In P.E., Camdon did sit-ups. In fact, he is demonstrating for me right now, just so I know what he is talking about (he calls them lift-ups). Mrs. Henderson, Camdon's kindergarten teacher, brought ice cream sandwiches because she missed the kids.

I started a new blog!

Well, I just started up another blog. I deleted my old ones because I haven't looked at them in over a year. This one I created to keep people up-to-date on the Heck family. I came up with the title because it uses our name, it sounds funny, and my mom just loves to say it whenever she leaves a message.

The boys are loving school. Camdon was so excited that Mrs. Bursack was his teacher this year. So far, after day three of school, he has learned his i, e, and u in cursive. He also learned about how we all have different colored skin and that God made us all special in Science. He is going over review in Math. He talked about how he has gone to Music and Library. He must have had a Spanish class, too, because he came home from school today saying "very good" in Spanish (I barely know how to say it, let alone spell it).

Cody has been fighting allergies but he has been a trooper. He worked on a writing paper for homework today. He is reviewing his cursive letters. He writes much better in cursive than he does in print! Cody isn't very talkative, so I probably won't know much about his week until Friday when I get Mrs. Heidebrink's newsletter. I do know that Cody loves his new teacher! She has taken the Survior TV series and used it in her classroom. It is a great way to get the kids to work together as a team and she said that last year it worked great. I can't wait to see what Cody thinks of it.

I start Seminary classes tomorrow. I am taking a Wednesday afternoon/early evening class, a class that meets one Thursday a month, and a class that meets every day for one week (called an intensive week). This semester starts my fourth semester at Lincoln Christian Seminary. The Masters program for counseling last about three years, so I am about half way through the program. I am hoping to work for a church when I am finished with my degree.

I guess this is it for now. I will try to keep this updated!
